As the Clinical Director, Maggie ensures that the clinical program reflects current evidence-based practices and incorporates the growing body of research findings on the most effective treatments for eating disorders and co-occurring disorders. Maggie is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist. She is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and serves on the inaugural board of the Alabama Chapter. She has presented on topics including the treatment of individuals with co-morbid eating disorders, identification and prevention of eating disorders, and substance use disorders. Maggie works directly with our clients to help them understand that recovery is more than symptom remission as they reconnect to a life filled with meaning and purpose. In addition to EMDR, she utilizes other modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
