National Director of Eating Disorder Admission
As National Director of Eating Disorder Admission, Alycia works with the eating disorder clinical partnership team to provide a responsive and streamlined process for admission into treatment. Her professional experiences include working with both adults and adolescents with co-occurring disorders. Alycia’s work with eating disorders began in 2013, at Timberline Knolls where she worked as a Behavioral Health Specialist on both the adult and adolescent lodges. She continued her experience by transitioning to the Admissions Department where she started as an Admissions Coordinator and worked her up to step-in as temporary Director of Admissions by Spring 2017. Other professional endeavors for Alycia include working as an Admissions Specialist, providing support for adults, in need of substance abuse treatment in an outpatient setting. She is a graduate of Benedictine University’s Master of Science of Clinical Psychology program. She also received her bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from East Carolina University, where she received classical vocal and guitar training. Alycia’s therapeutic and professional approach derives from her therapeutic work, spiritual beliefs, and 12-step principles. She strongly values providing the highest level of integrity, compassion, and ethics when helping families and individuals affected by eating disorders and addiction. She believes living a life of recovery is worth the fight and holds hope that recovery is achievable to anyone willing. Alycia finds peace in being of service to others, and her goal is to ensure a smooth admission process for each client and their loved ones.
