Magnolia Creek clients prepared sautéed chicken, homemade mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce, and steamed broccolini in last week’s cooking experiential group! Before sautéing the chicken, the clients flavored it with turmeric, tarragon, rosemary, dill, salt, and pepper. They used this recipe (AllRecipes.com) to make crispy, golden-brown, (and delicious) mozzarella cheese sticks. Chef Roscoe then shared his recipe for simple, homemade marinara sauce; the clients used an immersion blender to blend the following ingredients in a saucepan: canned tomato sauce, basil, shallots, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Have you ever heard of broccolini? Broccolini is a delicious vegetable that is similar to broccoli, but it has longer, thinner stalks and smaller florets. They steamed the broccolini on the stove and simply seasoned it with salt and pepper.
Check back next week to see what else we’re making in our cooking experiential group!
