Steve Moore is a Program Coordinator with UAB Center for Psychiatric Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. Since 1999, he has managed a contract to provide services as the administrator of The Impaired Pharmacist Program for the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy. Prior to assuming duties at the Pharmacy Board, Steve worked as a Program Coordinator in the UAB Addiction Recovery Program, which is a full service chemical dependency treatment facility that specializes in healthcare professionals.

Steve has a Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Alabama. His study concentration was mental health and his sub-specialty is addiction with a focus on outcome research.

Steve is also the co-founder and a principal therapist at The Moore Institute where he specializes in relationships that have been affected by addiction. He is interested in everything about addiction and has a strong desire to do work that will enable us to help more people who affected by addiction.

Steve leads the After Care therapy group with Dr. Chebon Porter.
