Magnolia Creek Donates 45-Days of Residential/PHP Treatment

Treatment Center partners with scholarship fund to provide a full 90 days of residential and/or partial hospitalization treatment for a needy individual.

BIRMINGHAM, AL (6/17/2010) - Magnolia Creek Treatment Center for Eating Disorders is partnering with the Manna Scholarship Fund to provide comprehensive eating disorder treatment to those most in need.  Together, Magnolia Creek and the Manna Scholarship Fund will award 90-days' worth of treatment to a qualified, needy individual who could not otherwise afford this level of help.

Recently, the Manna Scholarship Fund held a fundraising golf tournament which generated over $13,000.  This amount will be matched by a private donor up to $45,000 through August 15th of this year.  Said funds will then be matched by Magnolia Creek to help someone suffering from their struggle with an eating disorder.

"We are so very excited to have this opportunity to partner with such a wonderful organization and, hopefully, make a real difference in someone’s life,” explains Ronda Cannon, Magnolia Creek’s Director of Operations."

"I am thrilled that Magnolia Creek is such a supporter of what we are doing. They have been extremely encouraging of Manna Scholarship and an ongoing ally for the cause," adds Dr. Genie Burnett, founder and Executive Director of the Manna Scholarship Fund. "Together, we are changing lives.”

Cannon and Burnett are eager to begin what appears to be a long-standing partnership of hope and care. The Manna Scholarship Fund's thorough application process combined with Magnolia Creek's high-quality and accredited level of care will enable a deserving individual the opportunity to heal from her eating disorder and move on with her life.
