Maggie Klyce, LGSW
Maggie Klyce received her master’s degree from the University of Alabama and is currently pursuing her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist designation. She is a member of the International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals and serves on the inaugural board for the Alabama Chapter. She has presented on topics including the treatment of individuals with co-morbid eating disorders, identification and prevention of eating disorders, and substance use disorders. Maggie previously worked as a therapist at a residential treatment facility specializing in addiction. She is an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist and strives to help clients overcome trauma and negative core beliefs that have bound them to their eating disorder. She utilizes other modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and body centered approaches. Maggie believes recovery is more than symptom remission and strives to help her clients reconnect to a life filled with meaning and purpose.
